Shocking weather this morning. Alarm went off a bit too early and this combined with the very heavy rain meant that I elected not to go running, rather defer to the afternoon.
Good decision as it turned out.
So, JC and I set off for an 11 mile run/cycle which tested my knees and his gears. We stopped in Graffham to pose:

Route on Sanoodi as ever.

Well, haven’t posted for ages, and thought I’d try and get back into the habit. Just got back from a great run with JC in tow - dragged him up Bex hill, but it was worth it for the run down Easebourne Street - route is on Sanoodi (http://www.sanoodi.com/route/philjclarke/110517/25-11-2007/). Then we popped into the Spread for a quick swim - excellent.
AND we won our match this morning - 3-2 against Worthing Rebels, with Ben scoring too!

Another ‘fit it in’ run today - not too much time again, so we ran out on the quick 5K route. DP was a man on a mission, and kept the pace up (no doubt aiming for a PB this Sunday). It made me realise that I haven’t been pushing my runs too hard recently - more sitting in a comfort zone where pace is concerened - this is great as I’m training for distance really rather than solely speed, but I do need to pick up the pace a bit… The London 10K looms this Sunday and it would be good to get a time around 50 minutes…

It was really wet today. All day.

It was also the day we went to Goodwood (piccys over at Flickr). We had a good time, but the rain certainly dampened things a little. Emphasis was more on keeping going between attractions rather than basking in the sun and watching the worlds best drivers climb a hill in West Sussex. We did try the latter, but it wasn’t too much fun.

Bit of a longer run today - up and out at 8am, and kind of started off without knowing where I really wanted to go (not a good idea) so just ran for a bit, and everytime I thought I knew where I was going to go I seemed to change my mind when the turning point came to follow the route I intended.
Anyway, I ended up doing a longer run than usual, which was quite encouraging as I didn’t feel too bad afterwards. Also managed to bag a piccy of a fantastic view on the Bepton stretch of the run.
